Virginia Kling has been helping guide parents, children, and caregivers through their family law matters for more than fifteen years.  In addition to her extensive experience litigating in both the Maryland and District of Columbia courts, Ms. Kling serves as a mediator to help parties resolve their disputes without the need for court intervention. Prior to forming Brody Kling PLLC, Ms. Kling was the Legal Director of the DC Volunteer Lawyers Project, where she represented clients in custody, divorce, civil protection order and child support proceedings, while also supervising volunteer lawyers and overseeing legal issues and attorney training programs for the organization. Ms. Kling previously had a private family law practice in the District of Columbia and Maryland, including acting as a court-appointed Guardian ad Litem for children in both custody and neglect matters.

Prior to practicing family law, Ms. Kling was a partner at Baach Robinson and Lewis.  Following law school, she clerked for the Honorable James A. Belson of the District of Columbia Court of Appeals and was an associate at Wilmer, Cutler & Pickering.
